Sheera gets printed in the Independent!
Sheera had a great article printed in the Independent:
Former Israeli soldiers return to occupied
territories to give aid
This article gets added to the growing list of online publications which includes one article at truthout, and a bunch at the student underground.
For those that don’t know, Sheera was my on and off girlfriend while living in Boston. She continues to be one of my best friends, and I’m super proud of her writing talents.

The Cat Lady
For those of you that have never had the privilege to see the cat lady in person, I have made this short little movie for your viewing pleasure. Her ‘real name’ is Jackie Jones, and for as long as I can remember she has been the best performer at the San Rafael Farmers’ Market. She’s really something that has to be seen in person. Most days you can find her surrounded by kids, especially when taking a solo on one of her two saws (one being an octave higher than the other). More links.

New Zealand farmers to be taxed on livestock flatulence
Farmers will be taxed on the flatulence of their livestock in an attempt to slow New Zealand’s contribution to global warming.
Can you believe this? This is the coolest thing ever! Never in my wildest dreams would my country ever do something this cool.
I sent in the final mix for my upcoming album
For those of you that haven’t heard, I’ve been working very hard at putting out my first album. It all sort of happened as a result of the operation I had last December. For starters, it meant I came home from school for a while, but even more, it’s made playing trumpet very difficult. With all this time on my hands I decided I’d better do something productive, so I’ve been working very hard developing my skills with making music on my computer. The record, will be a collection of the best tunes I was able to put together over the past 7 months.
For now, I have sent my final mixes off to SAE Mastering in Phoenix, AZ. I found their ad in an issue of Tape Op magazine. This means that the music is out of my hands now At this point I’m just working on getting the cover made and figuring out how to promote/distribute the thing.
I will let you all know as this whole thing progresses.

MTBE….What’s it all about?
It’s supposed benefit, is that it may reduce pollution to the atmosphere. This is debatable…what’s certain is that it does severely pollute our water supply.
76 has replaced MTBE with ethanol at all if it’s gas stations in California. Not that 76 is a good company or anything, but until the other companies follow it’s lead, I’m trying to buy most of my gas at 76.
I’ve compiled a few links for more info on MTBE:
