Happy Halloween

Okay, here she is. I was going for super generic, but I think the personality of the pumpkin just took over. The details turned out way beyond my greatest expectations.

My Un-Carved Pumpkin

This weekend I picked up a pumpkin while driving around west Marin. I found this girl at an organic farm on Nicasio Road. That’s one notch less cool than growing your own.

Fotografie dell’Italia

Some building at San Marco Plaza in VeniceSo I kind of forgot to mention that before Laurel and I left Germany we managed to drive down to Italy. It happened. We visited Verona, and then drove east to Venice. I snapped the picture to the right in Venice. I should have taken more pictures of Venice, but it just didn’t happen.

Who you tryin’ to get crazy with ese? Don’t you know tacos locos?

Following up on Laurel’s post with a bit more detail:

Tacos Locos: (täcōs lōcōs) regular taco in crispy shell, wrapped in a soft taco shell with guacamole gushed in between the two shells. I like to put beans & rice[ah] inside.

Laurel leaves tomorrow for home. I wanna stick around a little longer and visit some friends, but it seems I’m broker than I thought. (It’s stinky being all the way over in Europe, and not having enough money to do anything about it.) I might be home before next weekend. Sí tienes hambre, va a mi casa para muchos tacos locos.

Dreamhost.com

Don’t mind the domain name, I’m switching from one web host to another. Once the DNS change propagates, everything will be back to normal.

Ahhhhnold is in Chahhhge

I really don’t know what to think. The Reagan era is coming all over again. If you click on the map to the right, you’ll see that Marin and it’s neighboring counties all voted against the recall.

Bay Area doesn’t follow the state trend
Recall of governor losing by wide margin as 8 of 9 counties vote to keep Democrat

All I can think of…is maybe the bayarea should secede from California. Despite all the .com problems we’ve had, we still hold such a huge chunk of the worlds technology companies right here in Silicon Valley. Or maybe…

St. Gallen

Laurel and I arrived in St. Gallen, with my donkeys in tow, to much fanfare and celebration. Immediately upon my entry, the trumpets sounded, and it was announced that I was going to be appearing live on the local radio station….further continuing my local celebrity status.

picture of boomboxUpdate: The first time I got to listen to my album over the radio, it came through this box with a fork antenna.

Spectorial

photo by becky I just added a spectorial to Becky’s website.

I wish I could tell you more about what a spectorial is. I couldn’t find it in the dictionary, and searching google only brought me right back to where I started. I know this:

  • Becky is not the only person on the internet with a spectorial.
  • Becky used my hoopty trumpet for the photo at the left
  • Becky’s really cool, and you can view her new spectorial right here.
  • Becky takes pictures of donkeys, and donkeys are also really cool.
