My old roommate, Brian Ostreicher (of Velocity Joint) just launched a new website for his jingle writing business: Maid Marian Music. Doesn’t this picture remind you of that cheesy guy from the special features on the Chinatown DVD? I love it!

Having fun with websites

I’ve been playing around with RSS syndication lately. If you scroll down a ways on the main page, you’ll see that I now display the latest posts from a few of my friends. I think that’s nice. I don’t know if I’ll keep it around for long, because it’s kind of cluttering up my site, but I’m hoping to come up with some interesting use for this at some point.

Noah meets Charlie

The other night I was going through old recordings, cleaning house sort of, and I came across two quick sketches Noah and I put together. During the soundcheck, Noah played these six chords (probably not thinking much of it) which just happen to work with a bass line that I stole from Charlie Hunters website. No pitch shifting, time stretching or other such nonsense (not that there’s anything wrong with that).

Cabiria Music

I just found the website for a band I used to be in. The website is super simple, just some streaming music, and a live video clip (is that the Berklee Cafeteria?) Small Improvements

I’ve given the music and pictures sections of this website some small face-lifts. I had Chad Pugh make the “slow children” graphics for me, while I was out visiting him and his brother in NYC. If you’re ever bored, check out Chad’s collection of college notebook drawings.
