My Pedal Steel Debut

Scott McDowell and Richard Brown playing music together

Today I made my first recording with the pedal steel guitar that I’ve been playing for about two months now. It’s a very rough demo featuring just me and brother Richard (of Short Film). It’s painfully slow, but if you try hard enough you might just find a beauty in that hesitation. There’s actually a few more musicians in this revival group, and we’re going to be recording a much nicer version in the studios at school with the whole congregation. I’ll keep you all updated, but first listen to this beautiful 24kHz recording:

I like this stuff man, super oneiric. I can say, I am ready, after hearing that smooth life fulfilling psg, that I am, in fact, de facto, ready to meet the angel of death.
